Embrasse Restaurant Melbourne Australia

For Valentines day we went a little out of our food comfort zone and dined at one of Melbourne’s top restaurants, Embrasse Restaurant. The food was absolutely beautiful, and we had 6 courses of it! Some of the things on the fixed degustation menu included Ox Cheek, Pork Belly and Squid Ink Beef, finished off nicely with some fancy Victorian cheese. It didn’t come cheap, but the whole experience was more than worth it and never again will we say that those tiny meals you see on Masterchef would never feel you up… It was the most full we had been in a long time!

We had a lovely day walking around Melbourne doing some shopping. Then returned home for some of Callum’s cooking which went badly wrong, and we ended up ordering a pizza! We also have a new addition to the family; Butters the mouse, which was a birthday present from Callum. Thank you to everyone for the cards and presents. I love you all!

As of the 5th, I have decided to go back self-employed for a few different reasons; for the freedom, for the opportunity for Alex to find part-time work at weekends (which isn’t only easier to find, but quite often pays more for “non-standard work hours”) and also because I love the challenge of working on different projects all the time (and finding those projects!).
